Paranaque City Assessor’s office closed for two days for disinfection

The Paranaque City government has announced that its Assessor’s Office will be temporarily closed on September 23 - 24 for disinfection and containment.

Mar Jimenez , Public Information Office chief, said the disinfection and containment activities will be made in preparation for the expected large number of taxpayers who will be visiting the City Hall on Monday (September 27) for the advance payment for the last quarter of real property taxes.

Jimenez said Mayor Edwin Olivarez wants the Assessor’s Office to be clean and disinfected to protect taxpayers from COVID-19.

Jimenez said the services of the Assessor’s Office will still continue under a skeleton workforce at the Assessor’s lounge for assessment of real property tax.

He said the city government is offering 20 percent discount for the early payment of real property taxes.

The PIO chief added the Assessor's Office will be closed every Friday for containment and disinfection.
