More than 2M doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in Manila

Over two million doses of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines have already been administered in the City of Manila.

The Manila Health Department (MHD) reported that a total of 2,143,698 vaccine doses have already been administered as of 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20.

Of this number, 1,321,054 individuals have received their first doses, while 1,116,612 have already completed the two-dose regimen.

Based on the data from the Department of Health, Manila’s target population to achieve population protection is 1,065,149.

Following the Commission on Election's data, the target should be 1,351,487 individuals of the city's population.

Manila started its vaccination rollout in March for individuals aged 18 years old and above and those belonging to the A1 (health care workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (adults with comorbidities), A4 (economic front-liners and uniformed personnel), and A5 (indigents) priority groups.
