Mayor Isko OKs monthly allowance for District 1 senior citizens

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, together with Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, signed on Monday the monthly allowance of senior citizens living in the first district of the city.

"Para sa minamahal kong mga lolo't lola sa District 1, pinirmahan na po namin ni Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna ang inyong monthly allowance ngayong araw. Ito po ay nagkakahalaga ng P87,961,500 para sa buwan ng July, August, at September (For my beloved grandfathers and grandmothers of District 1, I and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna have already signed your monthly allowance today. This amounts to P87,961,500 for the months of July, August, and September)," Domagoso said in a Facebook post.

A total of 39,582 senior citizens of District 1 will receive P1,500 each (P500 per month).

Domagoso assured his constituents that the local government will double its efforts in providing for their needs especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and the threat of its more transmissible Delta variant.
