Gomezian rules Philracom Juvenile Stakes Race, bags P600,000

Gomezian ruled the first leg of the 2021 Philracom Juvenile Stakes Race-Industry Charity Race at the Saddle and Clubs Leisure Park in Naic, Cavite Saturday, Sept. 18.

Gomezian, with star jockey OP Cortez at the handles, clocked in 1:17 (7’-21’-22’-25’) over the 1,300 meters course and bested Radio Bell and Ballet Champion en route to a P600,000 winning purse for horse owner Freddie Santos.

Radio Bell finished second with P225,000 purse, Southern Man settled for third place with P125,000 reward, and Ballet Champion placed fourth worth P50,000.

Prior to the latest win, the chestnut filly bred by Esguerra Farms of businessman/sportsman Hermie Esguerra won the Philracom Two-Year-Old Stakes Race with the same registered time of 1:17 (7’-21’-22’-26’) over 1,300 meters.

Trained by DR Dela Cruz, Gomezian showed who's boss by outclassing Pharaoh's Gift, Victorious Princess, and Doña Chichay en route to a P600,000 winning purse.

Pharaoh's Gift, Victorious Princess, and Doña Chichay bagged P225,000, P125,000, and P50,000 after placing second, third, and fourth, respectively.
