Steffi Aberasturi looks stunning in her latest ‘pasabog’ shoot

With only days left until Miss Universe Philippines’ coronation night, Cebu Province representative Steffi Aberasturi has been dropping major style bombs on social media and we are living for it.

In her latest pasabog shoot, Steffi wore a piece crafted by Iloilo-based fashion designer Brian Cinco, who is a big fan of hers. His dress features an illusion design, separating the top from the bottom part of the piece. The draping of the silver embellishments brings an art deco vibe that is made sultry by the inclusion of the middle slit on the skirt. Her photo posing on a rocky shore in Barili, Cebu reminds us of that scene in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” where Ariel emerged from the sea wearing a glittering garb. Just as magical!

“It is my honor to wear dresses (yes, he made two) from someone I know who would carve an amazing legacy in Philippine fashion,” she says. “21-year-old Brian Cinco from Iloilo is one promising and talented young designer whose designs are very intricate and well-crafted. What truly makes him exceptional is his passion for designing and his humble and down-to-earth character.”

“To my queen Steffi, you really change my life. You are indeed a phenomenal woman who can make an impact on others—just like me,” the designer says in response. “You inspire me. You open a lot of opportunities for me. I will forever be thankful for you and as well as to the team, especially stylist Josei Cuizon.”

An advocate of promoting local talent, the Cebuana beauty expressed that she has been in awe of Filipino designers’ works since she was eight years old. And as her following grows on social media, she is determined to use her influence and platform to showcase Filipino talents.
