PCSO to be fully operational while Metro Manila is under GCQ Alert Level 4

The operations of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will continue even when Metro Manila is placed under the second highest alert level under general community quarantine (GCQ).

Pursuant to the latest government directive placing Metro Manila under GCQ - Alert Level 4 from Sept. 16 to 30, the PCSO announced that it will be “fully operational during this period.”

This, after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging and Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) approved the said move under Resolution No. 115 series of 2021 with “strict compliance of existing health and safety protocols and observance of minimum public health standards” amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in the country.

Likewise, PCSO said that the gaming operations in other areas shall follow respective local government unit (LGU) quarantine or localized lockdown guidelines.

Meanwhile, PCSO said that live broadcast draws of its lotto and digit games will still be aired at PTV 4 every 9 p.m. and will be streamed live via its official social media accounts.

While its operations will continue, PCSO urged the public “to stay home and stay safe” as the country continues with its fight against COVID-19.
