Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog put up a stellar performance on his Alice as RSG pounced on the skidding TNC Pro-Team, 2-0, to get back on the winning track in the MPL Philippines Season 8 on Saturday, Sept. 18

Iy4knu was unstoppable in the two-game sweep after putting up impressive numbers on his signature Alice. He tallied three kills and four assists against three deaths in Game 1 before following it up with a perfect 6-0-3 KDA in the series clinching game.

Iy4knu actually had to endure three early deaths in Game 1 as Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo on his Beatrix and Daniel “Chuuu” Chu on his Hayabusa repeatedly ganked his lane to try and shut him down.

EJ “Heath” Esperanza on his Tigreal and John Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto on his jungle Paquito, however, took crucial pick offs to hold the early and mid-game for the boys in blue and white while waiting for Iy4knu’s power spike in the late game.

Iy4knu ultimately turned the tides on RSG’s favor after a deep dive in the middle of the clash at the 10-minute mark of Game 1 and took down two heroes from TNC to take an uncontested Lord and bag the first point of the series on a 15-6 tally in 21 minutes of play.

Heath took the MVP honors with one kill and six assists against a single death.

RSG never let go of the momentum since then as they visibly outplayed TNC as it controlled the economy and jungle battle in Game 2 to shut down Chuu’s Ling.

Iya4knu’s Alice was once again all over the place for RSG, securing four early kills before initiating a perfect Blood Awe on four TNC players during the Lord march in Game 2.

Heath followed it up with a Holy Baptism from his Rafaela to prevent TNC players from escaping from Alice’s Ultimate Blood Ode to take a four man kill and seal the win in just 11  minutes with a 13-5 count.

DemonKite’s Paquito was also solid for the “Kingslayers”, finishing with a 3-1-4 KDA to the claim the MVP honors in Game 2 while Aqua contributed two kills and four assists without a death.

With the win, RSG climbed up the standings with a 5-3 win-loss card and good for 11 points while TNC absorbed its fourth straight defeat and fell to 2-5 with six points.

RSG will have another king to take down when they face Omega Esports on Sunday, while TNC will need to win against Blacklist on September 25 to end their skid. (RM)
