Nearly one million doses of Moderna vaccine against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) arrived in the country on Saturday afternoon, September 18.

A total of 961,000 doses were transported at Terminal 1 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City around 3:45 p.m.
The vaccines were procured by the government and private sector represented by the Internaitonal Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI)n owned by port mogul Enrique Razon Jr through a trilateral arrangement.
Out of the supply, the government received 712,800 doses while 248,200 doses were allocated to ICTSI.
This was the fourth tranche of ICTSI-procured Moderna that were delivered to the country since June. The other deliveries include 249,600 doses on June 27; 324,600 doses on Aug. 8; and 469,200 doses on Aug. 15.
The current vaccine supply now reached 59,169,810 doses.
Aside from the Moderna jabs, the country will also receive 190,000 doses of Sputnik V at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, three million doses of government-procured Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine and 2,020,590 doses of Pfizer donations from the COVAX facility will also arrive.
