Filipino beauty vlogger recreates Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala 2021 look

But instead of wearing a full-on mask, Drain Bautista used cosmetics to achieve the look

We cannot deny that Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala 2021 look is definitely one for the books. Covering her body, as well as her head, with pitch-black couture by Balenciaga last Sept. 13, 2021, the Skims mogul presented her interpretation of this year’s theme “American Independence” by paying homage to the t-shirt.

While the look definitely made a statement during the night, it also gave birth to tons of social media memes. But for many fashion savants, this presentation, as fashion blogger Bryan Boy puts it, is “pure brilliance.”

Another one who is clearly loving Kim’s look is Filipino beauty vlogger Drain Bautista. In his recent transformation, he recreated Kim’s look, only that he used makeup instead of fabrics.

To achieve the all-black look, Drian applied a black body and fave paint from Castle Cosmetix to his face. To mimic Kim’s 75”-foot-long ponytail, he used hair from Neshaí Fashion & More. Apart from this look, Drian is known for his amazing, avant-garde beauty transformations. In the past, he spectacularly came up with looks inspired by pre-historic creatures, other-worldly beings, and even Pokemon.
