BLACKPINK Lisa's 'Lalisa' album sets records with 736,000 copies sold in first week

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK member Lisa’s debut solo album “Lalisa” sold more than 736,000 copies in the first week of release and set two new records.

Korea’s Hanteo Chart announced on Sept. 17 that “Lalisa” garnered a total of 736,221 copies in sales in the first week of release from Sept. 10 to 16.

Hanteo Chart said with this, Lisa set records of achieving first place in first-week sales among all female artists of all time and becoming the first female solo artist to achieve 500,000 copies in first-week sales.

The chart will issue a gold certificate to Lisa for reaching first-week sales of more than 500,000 copies.

In addition, Hanteo Chart said the first to third places in first-week sales for female solo artists are now occupied by BLACKPINK members.

Based on Hanteo Chart records, of the total 736,221 copies, “Lalisa” sold 330,129 copies on the first day of release on Sept. 10 followed by 5,722 copies on Sept. 11; 2,761 copies Sept. 12; 88,356 copies on Sept. 13; 33,781 copies on Sept. 14; 26,829 copies on Sept. 15; and 248,643 copies on Sept. 16.

“Lalisa” topped Hanteo Chart’s weekly physical album chart by selling 338,612 copies for the period Sept. 6 to 12.

Before this, YouTube confirmed to Manila Bulletin on Sept. 13 that the “Lalisa” music video garnered 73.6 million views in the first 24 hours of release.

This put “Lalisa” in sixth place among YouTube’s Top 10 All-Time Top 24-Hour Music Debuts list. Based on the current list, Lisa is the only K-pop solo artist to have a music video in the top 10.
