More students and other stakeholders are also calling for #AcademicBreakNow after the University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Thursday, Sept. 16, announced that a two-day break will be implemented next week.

Some users like @patrickscruz_ raised concerns on the impact of implementing an academic break. He said: "Without adjustment of the calendar, the academic break policy would remain a sugar-coated and counterproductive measure." in a series of tweets, he added:
Students may not be required to do academic requirements during the break but given na wala namang adjustments sa deadlines, ang tendency is maghahabol na lang yung students sa academic workload instead of having a genuine break.

Meanwhile, user with handle @ajnvrro also raised that teachers should also be included in the calls for an academic break.
