Restos, other establishments urged to check on customers' vax cards for indoor services

The Department of the Interior and Local government (DILG) encouraged restaurants and other business establishments to check on the vaccination cards of their customers for them to avail of their goods and services.
In an interview over GMA News, DILG Undersecretary and spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said that personnel of restaurants and other establishments can check the vaccination cards issued by the various local government units (LGUs) to prove that they are fully-vaccinated.
The National Capital Region (NCR) was placed under Alert Level 4 from Sept. 16 to 30 as the new alert scheme was enforced to slow down the COVID-19 transmission.
Earlier, DILG Secretary Eduardo explained that indoor dine-in services may be allowed at a limited 10 percent venue/seating capacity that would cater only to COVID-19 fully vaccinated individuals on top of their allowed outdoor or al fresco capacity.
Personal care services limited to barbershops, hair spas, nail spas and beauty salons will be allowed at a maximum of 30 percent capacity in case they are done outdoors regardless of vaccination status.
These establishments are also allowed to operate at a limited 10 percent indoor venue/seating capacity but may only cater to fully vaccinated customers in addition to their allowed outdoor capacities.
In-person religious gatherings shall be allowed at a maximum of 30 percent capacity if conducted outdoors regardless of vaccination status.
These gatherings may be allowed at a limited 10 percent capacity and may accommodate only fully vaccinated COVID-19 individuals in addition to their allowed outdoor capacities. (Chito A. Chavez)
