Aiming to vaccinate 500 individuals, the “Bakuna Buses” of Philippine Red Cross (PRC) drive to Brgy. Binabag, Bogo City and Mabitac, Laguna on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

“Safe at mabisa ang lahat ng mga bakuna dito sa Pilipinas (All vaccines here in the Philippines are safe and effective),” said PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon.
The deployment of “Bakuna Buses” to various locations nationwide is part of the efforts of the country's premier humanitarian organization to support the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program.
PRC Health Services Manager Mark Abrigo explained that the One UBE Express Bakuna Bus went to Brgy. Binabag, Bogo City to vaccinate 200 individuals while one Victory Liner Bakuna Bus went to Mabitac, Laguna to vaccinate 300 individuals.
As of Sept. 13, there are 1,202 individuals that have been vaccinated in the PRC “Bakuna Buses” which were deployed in the following areas that include Tumauini, Isabela, Naic, Cavite, Imus, Cavite, Lucena, Quezon, Pavia, Iloilo, and Bacolod, Negros Occidental.
The PRC has already vaccinated 208,795 individuals in its 16 “Bakuna Buses” and twenty PRC “Bakuna Centers” nationwide as of Sept. 13.
“With vaccines received from the local government, one BAKUNA BUS can vaccinate 300 to 500 individuals during an eight-hour operation,” PRC said.
Outside of the vaccine, the PRC shoulders all other costs under the COVID-19 vaccination program of the government including but not limited to syringes, mobilization, and vaccinator allowances.
The PRC “Bakuna Centers” as of Sept. 13 are located in PRC PLMC, PRC EDSA Boni, PRC Port Area, PRC Pasay Chapter, PRC Manila Chapter KABAKA, PRC Manila Chapter Letran, PRC Quezon City Ever Gotesco, PRC Negros Occidental Gaisano Grand, PRC Iligan Chapter, PRC Zamboanga City Training Center, PRC Bulacan Chapter- BSU, PRC Batangas Xentro Mall, PRC Cavite - SM Bacoor, PRC Cavite - Vista Mall Gen. Trias, PRC Tarlac - City walk Mall, PRC Olongapo - SM Downtown, PRC Bataan Chapter/Penelco, Arcovia, San Lorenzo Mall and PRC Davao City Chapter- Archdiocese Compound which are all in in coordination with respective local government units (LGUs).
As of Sept. 13, the PRC “Bakuna Bus” deployment areas include Marikina City, Mandaluyong City, Manila City, Navotas City, Caloocan, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cordova City, Talisay City, Naga City and Bogo City in Cebu, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon in Lucena, and Bacolod City.
“Ang bakuna ay nananatiling ang pinakaepektibong proteksyon laban sa COVID-19,” (The vaccine remains the most effective protection against COVID-19),” Gordon stressed.
