Additional two million doses of Sinovac were delivered in the country on Monday, Sept 13--which brought to more than 56 million the total doses of vaccines for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) received by the country.

The fresh batch of Sinovac doses were purchased by the national government and arrived at 7:20 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 aboard Philippine Airlines Flight PR 361.
The Sinovac doses were immediately delivered to PharmaServ Express’ cold-chain facility for temporary storage. They would then be packaged and distributed to various local government units.
Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez said the additional doses will be distributed to priority regions, such as Regions 4A, 3, 6, 11, 9 and other areas with high cases of COVID-19.
