Angel Locsin on Francisco Duque III: 'Yes, I will fire him'

Not that she has the power to actually do so.

But Angel Locsin said she is more than willing to axe the health secretary if she is president of the country.

The matter came up in her recent interview with Boy Abunda.

She said, “I think it’s really timely. Kailangan ng peace of mind ng mga tao..."

The actress made clear she is not saying so believing Duque actually did something wrong.

“Walang ganon. Maging objective lang tayo...”

She added, “Kasi ako rin naman naakusahan publicly na without going through due process so, hindi magandang pakiramdam ‘yun.”

“Kung magiging objective lang tayo dito, walang kung ano man ‘yung nararamdaman ko, nararamdaman niyo, tanggaling niyo. Kung ano lang ‘yung kailangan natin I would say kung ako ‘yung Presidente ng Pilipinas, yes, I will fire Secretary Duque.”

Note that Duque is in hot water after the Commission on Audit flagged his department for alleged misuse of COVID-19 funds.

Angel’s appearance on Boy’s show is part of a charity effort.
