DICT vaccination data system pilot-tested in Carmona, Cavite

CARMONA, Cavite - The latest system developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for vaccine masterlisting and pre-registration was pilot-tested at the municipality's main vaccination hub in Barangay Cabilang Baybay on Friday (September 10).

The event was led by DICT Luzon Cluster 2 Regional Director Reynaldo D. Sy, Cavite 5th District Rep. Dahlia A. Loyola, and Mayor Roy M. Loyola.

The DICT Vaccination System (DVAS) is part of the Vaccine Information Management System (VIMS) developed in support of the national government's immunization program and will serve as the central directory of vaccine recipients nationwide.

The implementation of DVAS is expected to expedite the vaccine registration and post-monitoring process in the municipality. It will also streamline report generation and reduce error risk with a paperless transaction process.

The local government unit's (LGU) healthcare workers have already undergone a series of training in managing data through the system prior to the pilot testing.
