7 fishermen apprehended for illegal fishing in Bohol

Authorities have apprehended seven local fishermen for illegal fishing off Loay, Bohol on Sunday, Aug. 29.

In an incident report released on Tuesday, Aug. 1, personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine National Police (PNP) have conducted a joint seaborne patrol in response to a complaint received from a concerned citizen.

This led to the arrest of the fishermen.

The PCG said the local fishermen violated the Article IX Section 50 of Municipal Ordinance 2004 - 02.

The fishermen were taken to the Loay Municipal Police Station.
