Pasay City LGU prepares for distribution of financial assistance

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano ordered Monday the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) to prepare the list of residents who are qualified to receive the cash assistance or “ayuda” from of the national government.

Rubiano said once the lists are prepared, each barangay in the city will be given a copy for posting of names of qualified beneficiaries who will receive cash aid amounting to P1,000 per person or up to P4,000 per family.

The mayor said each barangay was told to set the time and place of payout to avoid crowding during the cash distribution.

Rubiano said there should only be 10 persons per batch inside the distribution site.

The mayor said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has allotted a total of P356,727,000 for the beneficiaries in Pasay City.

The city government is still waiting for the total number of residents qualified to receive the financial assistance under the current Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), according to Rubiano.
