Fashionistas, take note!
Wouldn't it be nice to have someone in the family appreciate fashion the same way you do? Someone you can share closet pieces with (or not) or someone to discuss looks and runway shows with. That would be fun. Well, in case you don't have one, you can rely on stylish sisters Laureen and Liz Uy to give you that familial bond you're missing in fashion.

In their latest vlog, the sisters answer netizen's burning fashion questions and dish out some pro-tips to keep your style game and knowledge to a T. Here are some of the lessons we picked up from their chat.
These days, style boundaries aren't much of a thing
Times have changed and when it comes to fashion, boxing a size, skin color, or age in specific style no longer works. Of course, there are technicalities like the design elements that would flatter you most, but now, it heavily relies on you wearing them. "Bagay sa iyo kung bagay sa iyo," as Liz says. It all depends on the way you style the pieces, the way you personalize them, and how you carry them.
Comfortability is key to confident dressing
Style over comfort is no longer the cardinal rule when it comes to dressing. To make things clear, comfortability goes beyond just size and fit that doesn't constrain you. It also applies to aesthetics, the kind of style you are happy with.
Never confuse trend with classics
Trends come and go. These are style pieces that are hot as of the moment but will disappear in the coming months or in a year. Examples of these are emo studded belts, converse heels, and frosted eye makeup. In short, they are fads. On the other hand, classics are the building blocks of your closet. They are the staples, pieces that transcend eras of fashion. They are something you can dress up or down like LBD, diamond or pearl jewelry, denim pants, and a chic blazer.
Dress for yourself
Discovering your personal style is a journey. A big part of it is trying many pieces and experimentations. The magic happens when you find that happy moment when you feel good about what you put on your body. Remember to check if it suits you or resonates with you. "You do you," Laureen says. So keep that in mind.
