2 Ifugao cops lauded for assisting elderly couple to get electricity
Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), lauded two police personnel from Ifugao Provincial Mobile Force Company helping an elderly couple get electricity for their home.
This, after Police Corporals Amelyn Buyagan and Joefrey Bimmactad found ways to assist two senior citizens in Barangay Holowon in Lamut town to get electricity through the Ifugao Electric Cooperative.

Eleazar said the couple had long been without electricity and only used a solar lamp to light their home at night.
Under the Ifugao Provincial Police Office’s “Adopt a Grandparent” project, Buyagan and Bimmactad helped the the elderly couple get materials for the installation of electricity in their house.
The two police personnel also gave Lola Maria and Lolo Pedro grocery items.

Eleazar said that this kindness and care for our senior citizens should be emulated by other PNP offices and units.
“This is the simplest way we can repay our elderly for their contributions to the development and growth of the next generations,” he pointed out.
The PNP Chief encouraged other police offices to initiate more community development projects to serve all sectors of society.
