LOOK: Villar shares CLLEX photos in Minecraft and in real life

What's better than looking at a beautifully rendered image of the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) in "Minecraft" form? Being able to compare it beside a photo of the real thing, that's what!

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar provided his Facebook followers with this visual treat Sunday, August 8 via this comparison post.

"Dati nasa game lang, ngayon — totoo na! Salamat, Build Build Build Projects Minecraft Philippines! (Back then it was only in the game; now, it's for real! Thank you, Build Build Build Projects Minecraft Philippines!) The Central Luzon Link Expressway is now open. #BuildBuildBuild #CLLEX," Villar wrote.

If you don't know what Build Build Build Projects Minecraft Philippines! is, it's a community page on Facebook that features images of Philippine structures in Minecraft form. One can say that the page has the DPWH chief's stamp of approval.

Minecraft is a “sandbox” video game released in 2011. It popularized blocky graphics at a time when photorealism was the industry norm.

Villar is the main man behind Build, Build, Build--the Duterte administration's flagship infrastructure modernization program. The 30-kilometer CLLEX is the latest in DPWH's numerous accomplishments under the five-year endeavor.

"Libre pong dumaan sa Central Luzon Link Expressway. Biyahe mula sa Nueva Ecija at Tarlac, 20 minutes nalang (It's free to use the Central Luzon Link Expressway. The travel time between Nueva Ecija and Tarlac is now only 20 minutes)," Villar announced in an earlier post.

Travel time from Tarlac City to Cabanatuan City and vice versa used to take 70 minutes.
