LOOK: BOC personnel inspect newly-arrived Moderna jabs

The life-saving jabs--326,400 doses in all--arrived at arround at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 8 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 from Singapore via Singapore Airlines flight SQ912.

The BOC is tasked with the clearance of the COVID-19 vaccines that arrive in the Philippines. The particular shipment was flown to the country via the global initiative dubbed the COVAX facility, which was established to ensure the equitable distribution of the jabs particularly among poorer nations.

The One Stop Shop (OSS) of the BOC-NAIA processed, cleared, and released the 326,400 doses of Moderna vaccines after representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) and from Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) presented documents linked to the shipment of the vaccines.
