Laguna Gov. Hernandez reminds constituents to stay home amid ECQ

LAGUNA - Governor Ramil L. Hernandez reminded his constituents to stay at home now that the province has been placed under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from August 6 to 15.

In a Facebook post, Hernandez said outside travel will be limited to accessing essential goods and services and reporting for work under allowed industries.

Only Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APORs) will be allowed to travel to and within Laguna. They must bring a valid I.D. or any document to prove their employment.

Public transportation will continue to operate to accommodate APORs, with jeepneys and buses operating at 50 percent seating capacity.

Curfew hours in the province is from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. but this will not apply to workers, cargo vehicles, public transportation, and other allowed establishments.

Hernandez had earlier said that the province's three biggest provincial hospitals in Calamba, San Pablo, and Sta. Cruz are already full amid the recent increase in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.
