FAMOUS: Arci Munoz introduces 'bakuna' advocacy

Kapamilya actress Arci Muñoz has a new role: an ambassadress of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in its campaign for mass vaccination.


During a face-to-face interview, Arci said she is excited to start this new advocacy.


“I'm proud to say that I'm completely vaccinated against COVID-19. That is why I’m at peace that I am protected. Still I have to be careful and follow protocols,” Arci said.

Arci has embraced the responsibility, despite the resistance of some people, to be vaccinated.

“If you have the chance, please don’t be afraid! Do it as your responsibility bilang mamayang Pilipino," said Arci, at a recent pocket conference where she distracted media with her green dyed hair. “I maybe weird, but I am a weird person who wants to inspire others."


The actress-singer also addressed the issue of preference for some COVID-19 vaccine brands. “It does not matter what brand, just get vaccinated. Do it for yourself, your family and the civilians around you!"

The advocacy is in collaboration with race car driver, singer and former Nueva Ecija Councilor Renan Morales for the expansion of the vaccine outreach program in the provinces. For now, it's all work and there's no romantic issue between her and Renan whom she met through common friend JM de Guzman last year.

 
“It just so happened that we have the same vision in life," she said. “Let’s not mix it up with showbiz rumors. Let’s focus on the positive stuff that will help our present situation."


Renan has also expressed support to Arci's agenda of educating the public on vaccination. “I am just following my purpose in life. I’ve been given this opportunity to help others. I will just follow this path."



Actress Cindy Miranda, who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2013, goes daring in her latest movie “Nerisa."

In 2019, Cindy appeared in the thought-provoking erotic thriller, 'Adan,' and even snagged an acting nomination for her debut.

In a virtual interview, Cindy admitted it was hard letting go of her beauty queen days, which is a big chapter in her life.


“The beauty queen chapter of my life is very challenging and colorful, and taught me a lot that most of the lessons I’ve learned I’m still applying now in my showbiz career. As a beauty queen, I always give my best and must always look good and prepared. These are the same things that keeps me inspired now that I am into acting," she said.

“Nerisa” is now streaming on Vivamax, ktx.ph, iWantTFC, and TFC IPTV.
