Cindy Miranda on indecent proposals, harassment

Published Aug 6, 2021 05:43 pm

Beauty queen-turned-sexy actress Cindy Miranda admitted she is often sexually harassed verbally by lustful men.

But rather than call those responsible out, the Viva star just let them be.

"I don't think they deserve my time," she said during a recent press conference.

"Bahala kayo kung anong gusto niyong sabihin. Pagnasahan niyo ako or whatever. Hanggang du'n lang sila."

However, she maintained she will not take things sitting down if things go beyond that.

As for indecent proposals, Cindy said: "As long as hindi ine-entertain, hindi papatulan, papansinin, I think mapapagod din."

"Wala naman silang powers kung di mo sila bibigyan ng powers... Wala silang magagawa sayo kung hindi mo sila papahintulutan."

Cindy also recalled the excessive bashing she got after her name was dragged into the much-publicized breakup of screen partner Aljur Abrenica with his wife Kylie Padilla.

She said that among words thrown her way included "p*kp*k, kabit, bobo."

"Di ko maintindihan. Alam niyo po yung masyadong sinukat yung pagkatao niyo na hindi ka nila kinilala? Masakit lang, kahit ayaw mo maapektuhan."

In terms of being called a "sex symbol," Cindy sees nothing wrong with it.

"Actually okay lang po sa akin," she said. "Wala po talagang problema sa akin... Di po talaga negative sa akin maging sex symbol. Actually, pressure sa part ko."

Cindy reiterated that she sees it as a "compliment."

"Bahala na po sila kung anong meaning sa kanila ng sex symbol. I'm just gonna do my work. If matawag po ako, sana deserve ko yun," she said.

"Sana makita din nila yung pagiging sex symbol is not really bad, it's just representing something. For me talaga, mahal ko lang po talaga yung trabaho ko. Kung ma-categorize man ako, it's okay. Gusto ko lang ma deliver yung dapat ma deliver ng character ko. I hope makita po nila yung acting. Not just the sexy side of whatever I'm doing."

Well, she's seemingly proved it through "Nerisa."

The film is about a mysterious, beautiful maiden named Nerisa (Cindy).

She was found by Obet (Aljur) who promptly brought her home.

However, bad things started happening and people put the blame on Nerisa.

When Obet went missing, she committed herself to doing anything and everything to find him.

The film, which is now available on ktx.ph, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, and Vivamax, is directed by Lawrence Fajardo.

The screenplay is written by the multi-awarded and critically acclaimed scriptwriter Ricky Lee.
