Nayong Pilipino mega vaccination site to open next week, says Dizon

The Nayong Pilipino mega vaccination site is set to open next week, National Task Force (NTF) Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon announced Thursday, Aug. 5.

The vaccination hub can vaccinate over 10,000 individuals daily.

"Magbubukas po ang Nayong Pilipino next week, ready na po sya (Nayong Pilipino will open next week, it's ready)," Dizon said in an interview with CNN Philippines.

The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses donated by the United States will be administered in the facility, Dizon said.

"Napakalaking bagay nung Nayong Pilipino kasi kaya nun mahigit sampung libo ang kaya nung (It will boost our vaccination drive because it can vaccinate more than 10,000 people daily)," he added.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque earlier said the facility will only be composed of temporary makeshift tents.

The site will offer drive-thru and walk-in services.
