Hidilyn Diaz meets Ever Bilena executive, says she uses their lipsticks

Since Hidilyn Diaz came home with our very first Olympic gold medal, she has been in quarantine at the hotel as part of our country's protocol.

Bacolod's former mayor, Monico Puentevella, has been one of the loyal supporters of Diaz, and he went to Tokyo with Diaz and her coaches Julius and Gao. Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc.'s chief marketing and sales officer Denice Sy-Munez divulged that Puentevella and her dad, Dioceldo Sy, have been friends for the longest time. "We first met in 2015," referring to "Mayor Monico."

This led Denice to send a message to ask him they were doing while on quarantine, and she was invited to do a quick meet-up with our Olympian. "Mayor Monico introduces me to Hidilyn as someone from Ever Bilena. It’s the first time we were meeting in person. She says she uses our lipsticks," shares Denice.

The two ladies did a quick catch-up with Hidilyn sharing that they have mutual friends such as Hannah and Rachel who are daughters of Francis Kong. "Francis Kong has been a close friend of my dad since their high school days in UNO High School. Francis had invited her to join his leadership conference awhile back, and during these seminars, Francis Kong would share success stories and inspirational figures, and he happened to mention the story of Dioceldo Sy, founder and owner of Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. in his talk, which Hidilyn remembers vividly."

Denice tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle that their conversation ended by then as Hidilyn had to continue packing up so she can be reunited with her family real soon.
