Angono opens vaccination site to essential workers; disallows walk-ins


The vaccination rollout of the local government of Angono, Rizal resumed on Thursday, August 5 by opening the vaccination site to essential workers or those in the A4 Category.

The municipal government, in its post on Facebook, said those belonging to the A4 category will be vaccinated at SM Center Angono at 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., on August 5.

The office of Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon said no walk-ins will be entertained at the vaccination site as only those who have received a text confirmation from the local government will get the jab.

In his talk during his Facebook Live session, Vice Mayor Gerardo Calderon said workers, including tricycle drivers, are included in the vaccination rollout at SM Center Angono.

The municipal government is allocating 700 Sinovac vaccines for today’s vaccination of the A4 Category.

Calderon said more than 1,200 residents were inoculated on August 3, the highest number of persons vaccinated in a single day.

The municipal government is set to launch the online verification system for residents who want to verify if their names are included in the master list of persons who are scheduled to be vaccinated.

The town, and the rest of Rizal Province were placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions from August 1 to 15.
