San Juan LGU conducts house-to-house vaccination; starts quarantine pass distribution
The San Juan City local government started on Wednesday, August 4, its house to house vaccination of bedridden citizens to protect them against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora witnesses the inoculation of the bedridden San Juaneños in Barangay Batis as the city ramps up its vaccination efforts amid the growing threat of the COVID-19 Delta variant.
“We have to come up with this mechanism to make sure that the bedridden patients and senior citizens who are not capable of physically going to our vaccination sites because of their medical conditions will be inoculated at the safety of their homes,” Zamora said.
“These San Juaneños, despite their being confined in their respective homes all this time, might still get the virus from the other members of their household and we do not want that to happen as all of them who are either senior citizens or persons with severe medical conditions have compromised immune systems,” he added.
The mayor assured that the city's medical frontliners who will conduct the house-to-house vaccination will make sure that all vaccinees are physically and medically qualified to be inoculated and have the necessary consents from their families.
Meanwhile, the city government will also start distributing quarantine passes to residents of Barangay Batis as Metro Manila is set to revert back to the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on August 6 to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Zamora had earlier said that each family will be given one quarantine pass to limit the number of people going out of their houses to purchase essential items. Authorized Persons Outside their Residence (APOR) will also not be required to bring a quarantine pass.
Instead, they may just show an ID or any proof that they are working in a business or establishment allowed to operate during ECQ.
