German sexual enhancement drugs among P25-M smuggled medicines found by BOC in Pasay warehouse
Various German medicines believed to have been smuggled into the country were discovered at a storage facility in Pasay City, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) revealed on Wednesday, August 4.

Armed with a letter of authority signed by Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, a team from the Port of Manila (POM) inspected the storage facility on July 27 where the medicines valued at P25 million were found.
Among the seized items were medicines such as Cactua Compositum for coronary circulatory disorder and Testis Compositum, which is used for sexual enhancement.
Other drugs meant for liver diseases and managing cholesterol levels were also found in the warehouse.
The BOC suspected that the items did not possess the necessary import permits, prompting POM District Collector Angelo Dc Vargas to issue a warrant of seizure and detention against the goods for possible violation of Section 1400 of Republic Act (RA) No.10863, also known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
Vargas also warned the public over the use of such unauthorized medicines.
"The Port of Manila strongly warns against the use of unauthorized medicines (those without permits) and also reminds the public that any medication must be taken under the supervision of an attending physician," he said.
