Seven drug suspects, two minors arrested in Pasay City drug busts

Seven drug suspects, including two minors, were arrested in separate drug-bust operations conducted by members of the Pasay City Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and confiscated from them shabu and dried marijuana leaves.

Col. Cesar Paday-os, city police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Eugene Cruz, 21; Harold Angeles, 22; Alvin Soriano, 25; Vincent Cru, 21; Carlby Cruz, 41; alias Boy, 18; and alias Collen, 19, all residents of Pasay City.

Paday-os said the SDEU members conducted buy-bust operation at about 10:15 p.m. at house No. 2842 Park Avenue, Barangay 88, Zone 9, and arrested the five suspects, one of them a female, who were all listed in the police drug watch list.

He said the SDEU confiscated from the suspects about 16.9 grams of shabu amounting to P114,820 and other drug paraphernalia.

Paday-os said the two minors were arrested at about 1:15 a.m. at 4 Area A Chest Clinic Compound, Barangay 186, Zone 19, and confiscated from them were six grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P40,800.

The minors were also listed in the police drug watch list and are reportedly known among the youths for selling dried marijuana leaves.

He said members of the SDEU were able to confiscate a total of P155,720 worth of shabu and dried marijuana leaves in the two drug busts.

The arrested suspects were charged for illegal possession of drugs and were brought to the police custodial facility while the two minors will be turned over to the city Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD).
