The Paranaque City government will continue its vaccination of residents even during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from August 6 to 20.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez said residents with dates and schedules of their vaccination will be allowed to leave their homes to get their jabs.
Olivarez urged residents to visit his official Facebook page and check the date and schedule of their vaccination.
He said that aside from the vaccination at the designated sites, the mobile vaccination program (MVP) team led by Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, medical director of Ospital ng Paranaque 1 & 2, in coordination with Eva Nono, head of the Paranaque External and Home Affairs, will continue to go to communities, villages, and subdivisions with high number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.
The mayor said the Metro Manila mayors are also seeking for additional supplies of COVID-19 vaccines amid the looming threat of the Delta variant.
Olivarez said that with the additional deployment of vaccines, the Metro Manila mayors can conduct house-to-house vaccination to senior citizens and those with comombidities.
He said the City Health Office (CHO) recorded on August 2 a total of 468 active cases, 59 of which were new cases.
