QC orders closure of KTV bar for quarantine violation

The Quezon City Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) has ordered the closure of a karaoke bar in Tomas Morato on Saturday, Aug. 28.

The local government has issued a closure order to Up and Beyond KTV bar for operating amid the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

According to a report from DZBB, the establishment was caught on Friday, Aug. 28 operating on its second floor while the lights on the ground floor were turned off to make it look like it is closed.

Aside from the violation of the quarantine guidelines, the establishment does not have Mayor's permit.

The BPLD and the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) have already placed a tarpaulin on the establishment, saying that it is closed by the city government.
