The Pasay City General Hospital announced Saturday that it is already accepting severe cases at their OB-Gyne section.
Dr. John Victor de Gracia, officer-in-charge, said the hospital is referring all non-complicated OB cases to Dona Martha Lying-in clinic located in Don Carlos Village, Pasay City.
De Gracia said the OB-Gyne section is accepting only extreme cases for now until all OB doctors and nurses finish their quarantine.
The hospital OIC issued a memorandum on Aug. 17 ordering the temporary closure of obstetrics and gynecology services for nine days after its medical officers were infected with COVID-19.
De Gracia said currently the hospital has nine regular beds, one regular bed for pediatrics, and three Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds for COVID-19.
He said the hospital occupancy for emergency room transition beds is now at 43%.
