P3.4M worth of shabu seized in Manila drug sting

Combined forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Manila seized some P3.4 million worth of shabu following the arrest of a suspected drug pusher classified as a high value target in an drug sting in Sta. Ana, Manila.

In a report to PDEA Director-General Wilkins M Villanueva, PDEA-3 Regional Director Bryan B Babang identified the suspect as Herwin Tee, 38.

“Tee was involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in Bulacan and nearby towns of Pampanga and had been in our radar since July of this year,’’ Babang said.

Babang noted that Tee yielded two knot-tied transparent plastic and two medium heat-sealed transparent plastic both containing shabu with a combined weight of 500 gram and buy-bust money.

He stated that Tee is facing charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165. (Chito A. Chavez)
