The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has assured that poll contractors that will provide services in the May 2022 polls will be monitored.

"There are security measures in place - as to procedures, processes, and even with regard to the equipment themselves," Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said on Twitter.
"No contractor gets to act on their own whim, unwatched," he added.
Jimenez issued the statement amid concerns on the awarding of the P1.61 billion transportation services contract to F2 Logistics, a company said to be connected with businessman and President Duterte campaign donor Dennis Uy.
In a press briefing in Pasay City on Friday, August 27, Comelec Commissioner Aimee Ferolino explained that their Bids and Awards Committee followed the procedures under the law.
"The BAC (Bids and Awards Committee) is really following the procedures under the law so I don't see any problem in the award to F2 Logistics...we follow the law," she said.
Earlier, Senator Leila de Lima urged the Congress to investigate the Comelec awarding of logistics contract to F2 Logistics.
In filing Senate Resolution No. 855, De Lima stressed the need to ensure that the election processes are free from even suspicions of cheating, manipulation, and irregularities by disqualifying suppliers with known links to identified political parties and possible candidates.
