GMA's AM and FM stations continue to be No. 1 in Mega Manila

GMA Network’s radio stations continue to hold the number one spot in their respective categories month after month in Mega Manila.

As shown in the latest Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data, flagship AM station Super Radyo DZBB 594 remained unbeatable in July 2021. DZBB took the lion’s share in the listenership pie, recording a total day audience share of 53.7 percent – a huge increase from its 42.6 percent in June. Its closest competitor, DZRH, only got 25.4 percent. The station recorded a total cumulative reach of 2.4 million with 83 percent exclusive DZBB listeners.

Among dayparts, the 6:00 to 8:00 slot in the morning was still DZBB’s strongest rating block. The top AM programs for the month were “Super Balita sa Umaga Nationwide” anchored by Mike Enriquez and Joel Reyes Zobel during weekdays; Rowena Salvacion and Emil Sumangil’s “Super Balita Sa Umaga / Isyu Atbp.” on Saturdays; and “Super Balita Sa Umaga” with Kathy San Gabriel and Ralph Obina on Sundays.

Similarly posting increasing numbers is the Kapuso flagship FM station DWLS or Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! It led Mega Manila’s FM stations with an audience share of 29.4 percent in July coming from 28.7 percent the previous month. Its closest competitor only managed 15.3 percent. Barangay LS recorded a cumulative reach of 6.1 million with 53 percent loyal listeners to the station.

Still DWLS’ top program for both weekdays and weekends is Papa Dudut’s “Barangay Love Stories” with its time slot 12nn to 2pm also being the highest rating segment for the station. It is followed by “Potpot & Friends” on weekdays and “Talk to Papa,” which is also the 2nd highest show during weekends.

Moreover, fall in love all over again on the heartwarming tales as listeners can now also catch the podcast of Barangay Love Stories on Spotify.

Tune in to Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! from Monday to Sunday. Select DZBB programs are also simulcast via Dobol B TV on GTV and abroad via GMA News TV.
