Muntinlupa's first dose jabs reach nearly 79%

The Muntinlupa City government’s coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination has reached nearly 79 percent for the first dose and 40 percent for full vaccination.

According to the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac), as of Aug. 25, there are 303,551 individuals who have received the first dose or 78.7 percent of the target population of 385,725. The total includes 10,663 individuals who got the jabs at vaccination sites in private companies in Muntinlupa.

In addition, 154,684 individuals are now fully vaccinated or 40.1 percent of the target population in the city.

Besides the vaccination sites, the Muntinlupa City government is also conducting “on-site bakunahan” in different barangays to reach out to more people.

An update released on Aug. 21 showed that Brgy. Ayala Alabang is leading in the percentage of people vaccinated.

Based on the target population in the barangay, Ayala Alabang recorded 95.3 percent vaccination rate for the first dose and 67.4 percent for fully vaccinated.

Brgy. Cupang is second with 92.5 percent vaccination rate for the first dose while 57.8 percent of its target population is now fully vaccinated.

Brgy. Alabang placed third with 87.2 percent for the first dose and 46.4 percent for full vaccination.

Brgys. Buli and Sucat came next with 76.6 percent of the target population getting the first dose while 38.6 percent of the population is now fully vaccinated.

Putatan and Bayanan followed with 65 percent for the first dose while 33.2 percent of the population is now fully vaccinated.

Brgys. Tunasan and Poblacion had 58.8 percent for the first dose and 29.2 percent for full vaccination.
