Feast your eyes on the fashion brought by the creative collaboration of Kandama Social Enterprise, Pia Wurtzbach, and other Filipino creatives

By now, you have definitely seen the futuristic, painting-like editorial shoot photographer Mj Suayan did for Vogue Italia. Dubbed as "Indigenous Futurism," it gives a glimpse of "wherein indigenous people are thriving in the future," as designer and stylist Victor Baguilat Jr. describes it. While it definitely put a spotlight on the Filipino indigenous style movement, the feature left many fashion stories people need to see.

Apart from the handwoven pieces by Lih'han Di Immipugo of Kiangan, Ifugao, Pia Wurtzbach also wore shoe creations by designers Tal de Guzman, Roweliza Landicho, Mara Pinon, and Joel Wijangco. They made sure that the high fashion shoot was imbued with futuristic shoe designs that still mirrors Filipino heritage. Being proud of Filipino culture is the point of the creative collaboration and having the perfect footwear certainly adds to the air of confidence needed to pull off the looks.
