St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) announced Wednesday, Aug. 25, that its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) wards and critical care units in both Bonifacio Global City and Quezon City branches have reached full capacity amid rising infections in the country.

In an advisory, the hospital said there are still patients in critical condition waiting for urgent admissions in its emergency rooms.
Patients who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are advised to consider seeking immediate care from other health institutions.
"We appreciate your understanding and rely on your continuous adherence to health and safety protocols to help control COVID-19 transmission in the country," the facility said.
The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday reported 13,573 additional COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 125,378.
