The Pasay City Health Office (CHO) reported that seven out 10 active cases of COVID-19 in the city are all unvaccinated individuals.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said based on the report of the CHO on August 23, the city recorded a total of 764 COVID-19 active cases, majority of whom have not received a single dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.
The report also showed that 76 percent of patients admitted in the hospitals for moderate to severe symptoms of COVID-19 are unvaccinated.
Rubiano appealed to the residents to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect themselves, their families and the community.
She urged them to register at the EMI portal htpps://pasayemi.ph for vaccination.
She also asked those who had their first dose of vaccination to complete their second dose.
The mayor also encouraged them to always practice the EMI Habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask and face shield are a must, and Implement physical distancing).
