Rep. Esmael Mangudadatu (Second District, Maguindanao) and Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Sharifa Akeel got married this morning, Aug. 25, during a Muslim ceremony held at the Ar Nor Hotel and Convention Center in Cotabato City.

In the invitation, the couple said that there will be limited guests during the Walima celebration due to COVID-19.

“Though we love to have our friends and relatives on our Walima celebration, yet, for safety protocol, we are allowed to limited guests only,” the invitation read.

Akeel rose to fame when she was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International in Sept. 2018.

Later the stunning Muslim beauty queen competed in Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 and bagged the crown.
