How MUPh will choose the final 30 candidates

The Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) Organization has explained its selection process for the Final 30 candidates.

According to MUPh, the finalists are composed of 27 delegates selected by the MUPh Panelists, along with the other three candidates, who received the highest votes on their online application.

"The basis for selection is ALL of their performances in the previous challenges and the upcoming Interview Challenge. It is based solely on performance and NOT on the Fan Votes. High fan votes in the previous challenges doesn’t guarantee placement," it said.

As for the group of panelists, it will be selected by the MUPh Organization.

"They do not consider fan votes in their decision or scoring," organizers said.

So can a delegate make it into The Top 30 without any fan votes?

"Voting is completely voluntary and is not a requirement to advance to the next round. So it is possible for a delegate to make it into the Top 30 completely on her own merit."

"However, if fans want to help secure a slot for their favorite in The Final 30 they can cast votes for them. Delegates who garner the top 3 highest fan votes total from August 22 to August 31, 11:59 p.m. will automatically advance into The Final 30."

The grand coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 will be held on Sept. 25.
