A total of 262,800 doses of Pfizer vaccine are expected to arrive Wednesday evening, August 25, another round of supply that is expected to boost the government's goal of attaining herd immunity from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The arriving Pfizer doses are government-procured.
The plane carrying the vaccines is expected to arrive at 9:20 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The vaccines will be immediately delivered to the PharmaServ Express’ cold-chain facility in Marikina City for temporary storage before they are packed and delivered to various parts of the country.
The latest batch of Pfizer vaccine is part of the five million doses that are expected to arrive in the country this week.
Aside from Pfizer, 3 million doses of Sinovac and 1.8 million doses of Moderna will also be delivered.
