PDEA nabs pusher, seizes shabu in Batangas buy-bust

Not even the threat of the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is discouraging drug pushers from selling shabu.

On Monday, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a drug pusher and seized some P384,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Batangas.

In a Viber message, PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon identified the suspect as Robert Gupit, 38, of Barangay Balete, Batangas City.

Seized from Gupit were more or less 50 grams of shabu and P500 buy bust money and boodle money in an operation conducted along Balete-Conception Bypass Road at around 10:40 a.m.

Gupit is facing charges of violation of Section 5, Article 2 of Republic Act (RA) 9165.
