The Pasig City local government urged its residents on Tuesday to not convert their COVID-19 vaccination cards into PVC (polyvinyl chloride) cards to prevent other people from illegally accessing their vaccination data.

The LGU (local government unit) issued the statement after several social media posts circulated online wherein people are offering to create a COVID-19 vaccination ID copy using PVC cards.
The Pasig City local government does not encourage making a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Cards due to the following reasons):
-Hindi po ito tinatanggap bilang kapalit ng LGU-issued vaccination card (This is not acceptable as an alternative of the LGU-issued vaccination card);
With the scanning of your vaccination card, you are giving the creator access to your personal information and PasigPass QR code)
Your PasigPass QR code is for your personal use only. Refrain from giving others access to it, especially to those you do not know, because they may use it)," the LGU said.
Instead, the LGU urged the public to laminate their vaccination IDs after being vaccinated with their second dose to prevent it from getting damaged.
