Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government has distributed 95.16 percent of the P1,000 to P4,000 financial assistance from the national government to residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Rubiano said Social Welfare and Development Department (SWDD) head Angie Roa-Yu has reported that a total of P339,456 was already distributed to beneficiaries from 200 out of 201 barangays in the city.
She said that from the total P356,727 financial aid, only P17,271 remains undistributed.
Yu said they are targeting to finish the distribution of the unclaimed “ayuda” within the week.
The SWDD head said the distribution of “ayuda” to members of the Tricycle Operators Drivers Association (TODA) which started last August 21 was continued on Monday and served 88 members.
Rubiano said the city government has requested from the Department if Interior and Local Government (DILG) for an extension of the distribution of “ayuda” to September 12.
She said with the report given to her by Yu, she is hopeful that the city government can finish the distribution of “ayuda” on or before the September 12 extension they requested from the DILG.
