The Pasay City government has distributed the national government's financial aid or "ayuda" to about 102,633 heads of households or 303,455 individuals affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
Social Welfare and Development Department (SWDD) head Angie Roa-Yu said the city has distributed about 303,455 out of the 356,727 financial aid or about 85.07 percent.
Yu said the city government has requested from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) last August 19 for an extension of the distribution of “ayuda” to September 12.
She said they are targeting to finish the distribution of the remaining 53,272 financial aid of P1,000 to P4,000 to qualified beneficiaries which include members of the Tricycle Operators Drivers Association (TODA) within the week.
The SWDD head said the distribution of financial assistance to TODA members was made last Saturday.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano had earlier lauded the SWDD for its hard work even during the pandemic.
Yu said they have scheduled the distribution of “ayuda” to about 41 barangays on August 23.
