LTFRB offices in NCR still closed during MECQ; 20 employees infected with COVID-19

Operations at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board's (LTFRB) offices in Metro Manila will remain suspended until the end of the month despite the region's shift to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

Aside from restrictions under the second strictest form of lockdown, the LTFRB said that there are 20 employees in its Central Office who have been infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

While there will be no on-site transactions in its Central and National Capital Region (NCR) offices both in Quezon City, the agency will continue to accept the following transactions online:

• Request for Special Permit at Correction of Typographical Error (online.td@[email protected])

• Request for Confirmation of Unit/s at Request for Franchise Verification ([email protected])

• Request for Issuance or Extension Provisional Authority ([email protected])

• Legal Concerns/Query ([email protected])

• Information Systems Management Division ([email protected])

• Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program National Project Management Office ([email protected])

Applicants can file a request by filing a form that can be downloaded at the LTFRB website and email to the concerned division.

For inquiries and transactions with LTFRB-NCR, the public can also use Public Transport Online Processing System (PTOPS) at ncr-ltfrb.pisopay.com.ph/en.

Online hearings at the LTFRB Central Office would also proceed as scheduled and its 24/7 assistance hotlines would remain open, the agency added.

Meanwhile, the LTFRB assured that strict health protocols are still being enforced in its offices nationwide to ensure the safety of employees and stakeholders amid the ongoing pandemic.
