John Estrada returns to ABS-CBN, joins 'FPJ'S Ang Probinsyano'

Veteran actor John Estrada is back with ABS-CBN as he joins the cast of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” which begins a new chapter tonight (August 23) in time for its sixth anniversary and after the big revelation in last Friday’s episode that smashed its previous all-time high online viewing records.

John is currently taping scenes for the series with Coco Martin, as seen in the photos published on Monday (August 23) by Dreamscape Entertainment on social media.

“I’m so happy. I started in ABS-CBN. I’m happy to be back. It’s a blessing to be back with ABS-CBN and to join ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,’” said John.

John’s addition to the cast is part of the star-studded celebration of the show’s historic sixth year, which is set to introduce new characters and a more exciting story according to Coco.

Viewers are already looking forward to Julia Montes’ character, Mara, a feisty woman who is bound to cross paths with Cardo while he struggles to find a new hiding place with Task Force Agila from the authorities.

Netizens, meanwhile, continue to watch the action-packed scenes in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” as its August 20 episode achieved another all-time high record of 162,831 live concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel as they tuned in to the departure of Jane De Leon’s character, Lia Mante.

Before parting ways, Lia confessed to Cardo that it was Albert (Geoff Eigenmann) and not her who shot and killed Alyanna, Cardo’s wife. She also revealed that Albert is still very much alive. The big revelation shocked Cardo and his allies, who, like Lia’s family, had to leave and hide before their enemies can catch up with them.

In their escape, Cardo is bound to meet Mara. Will Mara be a friend or a foe?
